  1. Bolivar has the distinction of issuing the smallest stamp and thus the smallest first issue on record (or at least while Mackay was keeping watch [1, p.109]), narrowly beating Mecklenburg-Schwerin’s, 12x12mm and Brunswick, Bolivar’s measures 8x9.5mm.
