Thailand transferred suzerainty over Kelantan to GB in July 1909.
Overprinted stamps were issued under Japanese occupation in 1942. Scott [1] notes that it "was not regularly issued", according to some authorities. Issues for Thai occupation were also made in 1943: Scott notes here that "stamps with centers in red are revenues".
Kelantan joined the Federation of Malaya in February 1948 and was incorporated into Malaysia in 1963. It had its own stamps within Malaysia from 1965 until 1986.
