Care must be taken in identifying the #1 as Sc1 and Sc4-6 (SG1, SG4-6) are Straits Settlements overprints of the same stamp with font variations.

On the east coast of the Malay peninsular, Gibbons [1] notes that "the first British Resident was appointed in 1888". Pahang joined the Federated Malay States in 1896 and Malaysia in 1963.
Overprints were issued for the Japanese Occupation during WW2.
