An island, 2 square miles in area, in the Adriatic Sea. Italy occupied it in 1914, issued one set of Italian overprints and used Italian stamps thereafter.
Occupation continued until 1943 and Italy renounced its claims under the Treaty of Paris, 1947. Possession returned to Albania under the name of Sazan.
Gibbons [1] lists this under Albania, Italian occupation.
