Gibbons [1, 2009] notes that Ajman, "the smallest of the former Trucial States … consists of the town of Ajman on the Persian Gulf and three separated areas in the interior … a total area of 300 square miles and a population of 5000." And later, "Manama is one of the enclaves of Ajman territory in the interior."
