To paraphrase Scott [1], Dominica is the largest of the Windward Islands in the West Indies. It becamea separate colony in January 1940 and joined the West Indies Federation in April 1958. It became an associate state of GB in 1968 and independent in 1978.
This independence issue might help in locating Dominica.
