Nevis had its own stamps from 1861 until 1890 when they were replaced by Leeward Islands stamps. From 1903 until 1956, stamps of Leeward Islands and St. Kitts-Nevis were both in use, and then just the latter. While politically still part of St. Kitts-Nevis, Nevis began issuing its own stamps again in 1980.
